I started out as a print racker at a sign shop, literally taking the print off the printer and putting it on the rack to dry. That’s it…all day…
After learning the ropes of printing I became a screen printer. When the opening for a graphic designer/sign maker opened up I jumped at the opportunity, thus commencing my 20 years of graphic designing and sign making.
In 2000 I received my Digital Production for Print Certificate, and my Business Communications Diploma from Corporate Communications Training College in Vancouver, BC.
Since then I’ve managed art departments, large format printers, vinyl plotters, learned sign fabrications, LED lighting, installations, vehicle wraps…you name it, I’ve done it.
Coolest gig you ask? Making background props for The X Files 🙂
As a freelance designer I’ve worked with many musicians and bands (including my own) on album layouts, posters, electronic press kits, tshirts, banners, pins, photo editing…
I’ve created logos for independent companies, menus for restaurants, colour separations for print companies…lots of fun stuff!
I’m also a professional musician 😉
